Infinity Park Derby shines at MIPIM

Team Derby’s 2016 MIPIM campaign attracted a lot of attention this week, with Infinity Park fast becoming the talk of Cannes.

This year’s pitch centred around the launch of our 100-acre enterprise zone, which has been selected as one of only 33 schemes included in the UK government’s first Midlands Engine Pitchbook.

Team Derby also showcased the £11.8m iHub along with our brand new marketing collateral. John Forkin, Managing Director of Marketing Derby said,

“It was probably our best MIPIM to date. Our keynote Derby Embassy event was packed and our pre-planned investor meetings were all very positive with some visits due in the next few weeks.

“Our main sell this year was the 100 acre Infinity Park Enterprise Zone and £200m of opportunities identified in our city centre masterplan.

“2016 was also the year when we broadened our message to link up with Leicester and Nottingham under the Power of 3 banner as well as the wider Midlands Engine pitch book launch, showing a united front to the international community.”

Colin Smith, president of Rolls-Royce added,

“Rolls-Royce is keen to see UK advanced engineering and manufacturing SMEs grow and become more competitive and capable suppliers to OEMs such as ourselves. Infinity Park Derby will be an attractive location in which these developing companies can grow.”
